Founded in 2012 in Meknès, the ProTerroir Association has set out to unite and support Moroccan cooperatives specializing in the production of local and artisanal products. These cooperatives produce a variety of treasures from the local heritage, including honey, traditional rugs, medicinal plants, natural cosmetics, and much more.
ProTerroir acts as a true catalyst for sustainable development by providing member cooperatives with comprehensive support: training, technical assistance, access to national and international markets, product certification, and promotion through events and online sales platforms. This integrated approach not only highlights the quality and authenticity of the products but also ensures fair income for the producers.
The association places particular emphasis on preserving traditional skills and adopting eco-responsible practices, aligned with current sustainability and social economy challenges. Through its initiatives, ProTerroir actively contributes to improving socio-economic conditions in rural areas, promoting the inclusion of women and youth in the local economy.
Today, ProTerroir is recognized as a key partner in promoting Moroccan terroir worldwide while supporting the resilience of rural communities and the protection of their cultural heritage.
